Description
Who Are Faber?
All over the world Faber has earned their reputation for their high standards of quality and for their capability to comply with the most stringent specifications set down by International Bodies, Local Authorities and its customers. Their production cycle involves hot zinc spraying coupled with a primer and topcoat of paint, which helps stop corrosion, they are one of the most popular choices for divers’ tanks in the UK.
Italy’s Faber opened their doors in 1972 and have since become one of the world’s leading manufacturers in cylinders across a number of fields from diving to industrial gas transportation. In the diving world they’re known for their high-quality and extremely lightweight steel tanks and valves. They are Europe’s number one cylinder manufacturer, and you can be confident in their reliability and lightweight design.
Faber’s Cylinders are appreciated worldwide by scuba divers. To give you the lightest steel cylinders with an ideal buoyancy, Faber scuba diving cylinders are manufactured using high quality steel plates. If you are already using steel cylinders when diving you don't need to be convinced about the advantages. Beside the buoyancy attractions, it occupies a far lower volume for the same water capacity allowing you to enjoy greater space and freedom, free from any worries of developing any premature defects such as sustained load cracking (SLC) found in some aluminium alloy cylinders such as those from alloys AA6351, AA6082, which could limit the life of your cylinder.
Faber Cylinders are manufactured in a number of shapes and sizes to suit your needs. We stock limited sizes so if you are looking for a specific size please contact us and we would be happy to discuss your requirements. Dive tank sizes available include 3L, 7L, 10L, 12.2L (Tall), 12.5L (Dumpy) and 15L sizes. 300 bar faber cylinders are also available.
Faber are known worldwide for their specialisation in lightweight, steel tank manufacturing and for that reason manufacture tanks for brands across the globe. They’re lightweight, tough and high quality.
While aluminium is a lighter material, steel is considerably stronger. That means that an aluminium tank would have a wall thickness twice that of steel making it both larger and heavier. Faber’s steel tanks are both light and robust.
Most Faber cylinders are supplied with a self-draining flexible rubber cylinder boot, this protects the bottom of your cylinder and ensures they stay upright when in storage. Cylinder Boots, Tank Handles and Protective Mesh are also available to buy separate.
We are able to fill and service your cylinders in-house.
Diving cylinders can only be shipped empty. Due to shipping regulations diving cylinders and valves are shipped in separate packages. If you purchase multiple cylinders each cylinder will be packaged separate and valves will be packaged together. If you are collecting your cylinder in-store, the valve will be fitted for you and we will include a FREE Air Fill.
