It’s not uncommon here at Northern Diver that a number of our team are usually out of the office travelling the world, visiting clients, exhibiting our brand and learning new things about the industry – it’s a job in its own to keep track of them all. The last month has been no different for our Commercial Department, one of the busiest yet in fact – covering well in excess of 25,000km in just four weeks.

The month-long tour began with a trip to Munich, Germany to attend ISPO 2020 for Nathan (Our Commercial Consultant) and Louise (Our Pattern Designer & Purchaser). Here at Northern Diver, we’re always on the look out for new ideas and innovative new ways to improve our existing product portfolio and we find ISPO is a fantastic opportunity to expand our network, as it is the world's largest multi-segment trade show in sport, offering a complete market overview. The trip was enjoyed by both Nathan and Louise and will be definitely be an exhibition we will be returning too.

Two days after returning from Munich, it was off to New Orleans, USA for Nathan to attend Underwater Intervention 2020 and visit a number of our clients based in the ‘Big Easy’. Underwater Intervention brings together many of the industry's manufacturers and innovators at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center, situated on the banks of the Mississippi, where the latest in commercial diver apparel and equipment, manned underwater vehicles (MUVs), remotely operated vehicles (ROVs) and unmanned untethered vehicles (UTVs) are on show. The event also holds tutorials aimed at those working in subsea organisations in certain capacities, such as newly-qualified professionals, project managers and executive managers. As it was the first few weeks of the world renowned Mardi Gras, it was a trip to be remembered for Nathan.

Just one day from touching down following a turbulent flight home from the USA and firmly in the middle of storm Ciara it was a wet, windy and sometimes snowy drive up to the more familiar territory of Aberdeen, Scotland for Nathan. The opportunity was taken to spend time with our Offshore Clients based up in Westhill, whilst the core of Nathan’s trip was to attend Subsea Expo, held at P&J Live. Subsea Expo is The World's Leading Subsea Exhibition and Conference and a fantastic opportunity for Nathan to catch up with some new and existing clients.

Finally back at Northern Diver HQ, Nathan is firmly caught up and ready for his next travels to begin. If you are attending any exhibitions, whether it be Commercial, Rescue or Military – let us know – we’ll always be happy to meet with you.
